Storm Damage Repair in Bethany
When hail or high wind hits your home, we get on the roof, photograph what we find and explain it in plain terms before you decide whether to call your insurer. Then we repair the damage properly, with no guesswork about what was done or why.
What storm damage repair covers
Storm damage repair means fixing what a specific weather event did to your roof. That includes shingles torn loose by wind, granules knocked off by hail, dented vents and flashing, and the leaks that sometimes follow. Some of it is obvious from the yard. A lot of it, like hail bruising on asphalt shingles, only shows up close.
Spring in central Oklahoma brings hail and straight-line wind. A roof can come through a storm looking fine, then start shedding granules or leaking months later. That delay matters because most insurance policies set a window for reporting damage, and a clear record made soon after the storm is easier to work with.
We bring 30+ years of roofing experience to telling real storm damage apart from ordinary wear. We'll tell you honestly which one you're looking at, even when the answer is that filing with your insurer probably isn't worth it.

What's included when we handle storm damage
- 01
Photo documentation
We photograph every damaged area, plus wider shots that show where it sits on the roof. You get copies to keep and to share with your insurance company.
- 02
A written damage summary
We list what we found slope by slope: hail hits, creased or missing shingles, damaged vents, flashing and gutters. Storm damage is kept separate from age-related wear so the picture stays honest.
- 03
Temporary protection
If the storm opened up the roof, we can tarp or seal the area to keep water out while insurance and the repair get sorted. That work is noted in writing so it becomes part of your record.
- 04
Help with the insurance process
We explain the usual steps, what an adjuster typically looks at and how your deductible fits in. We don't act as your adjuster or negotiate your policy, and we never promise what an insurer will pay.
- 05
Repair or replacement
Once you know where things stand, we replace damaged shingles, flashing, vents and decking. When damage covers most of the roof, we'll talk with you about a full roof replacement instead.
- 06
Gutter fixes
Hail dents gutters and wind pulls them loose. We check and repair them as part of the same job so water keeps draining away from your home.
Questions about Storm Damage Repair?
Call(405) 689-5431Signs a storm left damage behind
Granules at the downspouts
A pile of dark, sandy grit near a downspout after a hailstorm means shingles lost part of their protective coating. Bare spots age quickly in summer sun.
Fresh dents on metal
Check gutters, vent caps and the top of your AC unit. New dents there are a good sign hail hit the roof too.
Lifted or creased shingles
Wind can lift a shingle and crease it without tearing it off. The seal is broken, and the next storm often finishes the job.
New stains or a damp attic
A ceiling spot or wet insulation after heavy rain points to a breach. Even a small one can soak the decking over time.
Limbs on the roof
A fallen branch can puncture shingles or crack decking in places you can't see from the ground.
How a storm repair job goes
- 1
Talk it through by phone
Tell us when the storm hit and what you've noticed. We'll set a time to come out and answer your first questions about insurance.
- 2
Inspection and photos
We walk the roof, check the gutters and vents, look in the attic if needed and photograph everything. You get the photos and a written summary of what we found.
- 3
Your call on filing
With the record in hand, you decide whether to file. If you do, we can meet the adjuster at your home to point out what we documented, and we'll help you read the paperwork that comes back.
- 4
Repair day
We cover landscaping and protect the driveway, tear off damaged materials, check the decking and install new materials to code. We pull the permit when the city requires one.
- 5
Cleanup and walk-through
We run a magnet across the yard for stray nails, haul off debris and show you the finished work before we leave.
What moves the cost of storm repair
The cost comes down to how much of the roof was damaged and what we find underneath. If you file a claim, your insurer decides what it will pay and you cover the deductible. We explain our estimate line by line so you can compare it with the adjuster's paperwork, and if you pay on your own you still get a written estimate before any work starts.
- How far the damage spread
- A few torn shingles on one slope is a small repair. Hail across every slope may mean replacing the whole roof.
- Decking underneath
- Water that sat under broken shingles can rot the plywood. We can't see that until the old shingles are off, so we tell you up front how decking replacement is handled.
- Matching your shingles
- Older shingle lines are often discontinued. Finding a close match, or redoing a full slope so it looks uniform, changes the scope.
- Pitch and access
- Steep or multi-level roofs take more time and safety setup than a low, simple one.
- Damaged extras
- Pipe boots, vents, ridge caps, flashing and gutters are priced as separate lines when the storm got them too.
Storm damage questions we hear often
Do I call my insurance company before I call you?
There's no single right order. Having us look first tells you whether there's real storm damage before anything goes on your insurance record, and an open claim can sometimes affect a policy even when nothing is paid out. What matters most is timing, because most policies set a deadline for reporting damage.
Can you tell me if insurance will pay for it?
No, and be careful with anyone who says they can. Your insurer and its adjuster decide what's covered. What we can do is document the damage clearly and explain what we found, so the adjuster has the full picture.
What if the adjuster misses some of the damage?
Insurers usually let you ask for a review or a supplement when damage was missed. We can provide extra photos and notes to support that request. You and your insurer handle the request itself, and we supply the roofing details.
Do I need to fix hail damage if the roof isn't leaking?
Hail that knocks off granules or cracks the shingle mat shortens a roof's life even without a leak. Leaving it alone can also complicate a later claim if the insurer decides new damage traces back to the old storm. We'll show you what we see and leave the decision with you.
Do you handle storm repairs outside Bethany?
Yes. We work in Warr Acres, Yukon, Piedmont, Oklahoma City and other nearby towns. The Service Areas page lists where we go.
